I have never been to Sungai Congkak and last Sunday was my 1st visit with my 2 daughters. My friend Ana and her husband with their son invited us on a day trip. This is what i can say about the trip to "Sungai Congkak, Batu 9 Cheras"
Our trip started at 11am, after getting the kids up. Me and my kids had not taken our bath cause we planned to swim at Sungai Congkak. Sungai Congkak is considered a waterfall but we only went to the lower end, where the current was not that strong, had pools so that the kids can swim and play. The stream was wider and less slippery.
The water was cold as ice. Sarah took an hour to go all the way in. Sofea? she just clung to me as tight as she could and would not let me go. So in the end i was the one in he water with 2 kids tied to me like glue. Haish.
Along the way up there were many chalets by the river and also small huts that can be used on daily basis. You know for putting down your belongings, changing or even to have your meals. It is rented out as low as RM 20 to RM 90 depending on which hut/chalet you choose. There are owned by different owners so you know la, the rate and facilities wont be the same. Public Toilet-i did not find any. So just bring along an extra kain or something in case you have to change behind a tree or something.
You can find fruit stalls selling fresh picked Rambutans and other local fruits. Food- also i have not seen a decent stall selling lunch. We had bought some Fried Bananas when we parked the car. They had lots of stall selling buoy/floats for kids and the price was reasonable somehow.Ana bought one for little Qayyim and he had the best time in the waters paddling like a little duck.Hehehehe...
We ate and chatted in the icy cold water. Really cold i felt as though i was gonna be freeze into ice.
| #oh yeah forgot to mention, i bought this ball for them |
| #Sofea happy at last to be out from the cold icy water. |
